A historic atmosphere where students can carry on UPenn traditions

Built in 1901 under the vision of William Hamilton, Hamilton Court served as a connecting point in West Philadelphia and continues to do so in what is now, University City.

Hamilton Court represents a compelling chapter in Philadelphia’s history, serving as a piece of the larger urban portrait built through the vision of William Hamilton. Under this dream, he created a grid-based arrangement of «villages» connected to the larger street system of West Philadelphia. We like to think Hamilton Court carries on the mentality of a «village» with the community we’ve created here.

“Love it here! Staff is so friendly and accommodating in addition to all the great amenities it has to offer such as the pool and the gym. I have enjoyed my time here and continue to do so!” — Abby Shorts
